E C O N O M I C R E S E A R C H S E R V I C E DRY PEA and LENTIL DATA PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION 11/2010 These 77 Excel tables/workbooks include much of the known published data on U.S. dry peas and lentils. Although USDA groups chickpea data with dry edible beans, some chickpea data is also included in this data product for the convenience of those preferring to group them with dry peas and lentils. The data set contains U.S. acreage, production, price, crop value, per capita use, import, and export statistics for a number of years. World acreage, production, imports, and exports are also included. These tables are stored as Excel (.xls) worksheets. The files can be retrieved and used by any software capable of reading .xls files. Each file generally represents one table. In the following documentation, 'filename' is the name of the file associated with a particular table. To view the table, simply open the worksheet file name which corresponds to the table listed in this documentation. If your browser does not allow the file to be opened, try downloading the file, save it to your hard drive, and then open the file from your spreadsheet package.
