United States Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service Agricultural Statistics Board Statistical Bulletin Number 911 Turkeys, Final Estimates 1988-93 Turkeys: Final estimates for 1988-93. Agricultural Statistics Board, National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Statistical Bulletin No. 911. Abstract This publication presents final turkey production estimates, including revisions, for 1988-93. Data covers turkeys raised, production and value. Introduction This publication presents final turkeys raised, production and value estimates, including revisions, for 1988-93. Estimates published during 1988-93 were based on indications from the December grower survey and updated with hatchery data in 32 selected States. Revisions were made only after a thorough review of the original data. Consideration was given to all additional data now available, including poults hatched and placed, turkey slaughter, and the 1992 Census of Agriculture. For the United States, the total value is the sum of State estimates. Value per head is derived by dividing the total value by the total number of turkeys for the United States.
