>hatched during the week was 84 percent.  Average hatchability is calculated by
>dividing chicks hatched during the week by eggs set three weeks earlier.

>Broiler growers in the 15-State weekly program placed 133 million chicks for
>meat production during the week ending April 15, 1995.  Placements were up
>4 percent from the comparable week in 1994.  Cumulative placements from
>October 30, 1994, through April 15, 1995, were 3.10 billion, 5 percent above
>the
>2.95 billion placed during the same period a year earlier.
