Ct Gn 1 (11-95) Bureau of the Census Cotton Information Cotton consumed during the month ending September 30, 1995, amounted to 1,019,560 bales. Cotton on hand in consuming establishments at the end of September was 533,120 bales, and the total in public storage and in compresses was 1,920,666 bales. Active consuming cotton spindles totaled 2,747,000, and the quantity of domestic cotton exported, excluding linters was 221,700 bales.
