Cotton on hand in consuming establishments at the end of June was 593,799 bales, and the total in public storage and in compresses was 2,579,810 bales. Active consuming cotton spindles totaled 2,627,000, and the quantity of domestic cotton exported, excluding linters, was 314,300 bales.
